General Terms and Conditions

1. Itinerary Design

Eco Dreams Travel (EDT) will design a personalized itinerary upon request, based on the client’s main interest, age, physical conditions, season, length of stay, and available accommodations. Once the client approves the final itinerary, Eco Dreams Travel will make the reservations. Eco Dreams Travel will immediately inform the client if there is no space available in any approved properties and propose modifications if necessary. The client will approve the final itinerary before the final trip commitment.

2. Reservations

Making previous reservations is essential to guarantee your accommodation on the date you want to travel. For guests traveling from November to April and from July to August, Eco Dreams Travel recommends that reservations be made at least six months prior to guarantee space availability due to the high season.

3. Payment Terms

A 10% deposit of the amount due must be done to guarantee the reservation. The remaining amount must be paid 30 days prior to the trip’s date. Certain suppliers may require additional deposits to ensure space, especially during peak travel season. 
Eco Dreams Travel will notify the customer if an extra amount is required to ensure the reservation. Please make bank transfers to the following account in MT103 format:

4. Cancellation and Refund

Cancellations must be writtenly informed 30 days prior to arrival. In such cases, a $250 USD per person handling fee will apply in addition to any prepaid hotel and service provider penalties.
Total penalties and applicable charges will apply to cancelations received 30 days before the arrival. Travelers can cancel or postpone their trip less than 30 days before the arrival in case the cancellation is due to force majeure due to the COVID-19 pandemic before traveling or something unexpected came up:
1. Someone in the group was diagnosed with COVID-19 (lab test).
2. Costa Rica’s International airport is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
3. The international flight was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, once the trip begins, no refund can be made for any section of the program that the passenger has not used during the tour. If any expense(s) occur, aside from what was originally offered and planned, they must be covered by the passenger(s).
We recommend that passengers purchase a trip cancellation insurance policy. If you need to cancel, you can apply for credit and re-book within 365 days (1 year), not applicable to Holiday Season nor Holy Week.

5. Responsibility

Eco Dreams Travel acts only as an agent to the passenger concerning travel matter and does not assume responsibility aside from what it manages.
Eco Dreams Travel will not reimburse those who, by their own decision, responsibility, or negligence, decide not to use any or any of the services included in their program. If this modification implies an additional fee, the client must cover it. Eco Dreams Travel has the right to modify the original itinerary due to circumstances beyond its control and to exclude participants whose behavior is inconvenient for developing the itinerary, without compensation or reimbursement.
Eco Dreams Travel or its agents cannot stand any liability for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in schedules, theft, damaged luggage or any item belonging to passengers, illness, personal health, injury, death, weather conditions, strikes, fires, explosions, earthquakes, floods, epidemics, road conditions, river levels, trail conditions, transportation delays, wars, accidents, change, force majeure, or other causes. The passenger will cover all these expenses.
Many of the activities can be physically challenging. Each passenger must verify the difficulty level; It is the passenger’s responsibility to judge the suitability of these travel activities according to their physical capabilities and to set aside Eco Dreams Travel from any liability.
Eco Dreams Travel requires that all participants be covered by adequate life, accident, medical insurance and extended stay coverage due to medical reasons and are financially responsible for such expenses. Eco Dreams travel is not responsible for those individuals that hide, falsify or simply do not purchase any of the insurances mentioned before. Eco Dreams Travel requires that participants who plan to operate a motor vehicle abroad, obtain a liability and collision insurance that covers them in Costa Rica. Insurance can be obtained from the car rental office. Eco Dreams Travel recommends that all participants ensure their personal belongings for loss and theft. Eco Dreams Travel is not responsible for costs or losses resulting from such events.
